What I feel Love is……

By. Alexandra Quinones

(I was randomly asked what I thought love was, so here is what I think)

You know you’re in love when that person is forever on your mind, when the short moments you are apart begin to feel like forever. Love is when you dream of them constantly, when you never want to be separated from that person. When you can’t never let them go, and when even if you are separated you know that they are not in harms way. Love is the sudden feeling that drives certain people crazy, because they don’t have love or have lost love. It’s the type of thing that never dies and can exist forever through live and death. True love is that sudden warm feeling you get when you see someone special for the first time, and from that moment on the two of you are inseparable. When you want to make sure you have that person with you, until death separates brings you apart. Even so when they are gone you can still feel there presence around you, comforting you, keeping you safe. When the ring, bracelet, necklace or what ever kind of jewelry or item given to you by them helps to calm and comfort you.

Waiting in Shadow

A dark, cool place with the shades closed, candelabras lit the room and the shadows touched the corners of each wall. The long, satin silk robe rubbed against my skin, as I walked around with black thin slippers on my feet. My hair was out, straight, long and flowing down my back. As I rested on a satin layered chair, I caught sight of a mahogany desk. On the glazed surface before me, there was a small, leather journal open with a pen lying on the page. With my legs crossed and picture in hand, I wondered when I would ever see him again.

( In this I described my dream world or in other words my utopia, so I hope you enjoy)

Empty thoughts

By Alexandra Quinones

Quickly trying to have a thought, her mind remains empty and thoughtless. No judgment or emotion drives her at this fading moment and nothing can ease this strange suffering. Emotions held within, no pain shown, all is kept and made unknown to others. Her thoughts are different now and she begins to think about the endless truth of eternity, and how her future and fate are unavoidable. With her fate unavoidable she realizes nothing avoidable, and that we have to work hard in order to make the future both greater and different for ourselves.

My realization of Time

By Alexandra Quinones

Finally realizing true immortality is just a thought of false imagination. For a time inhabitants will wait to face only the truth and everything will seem the same, except will be allowed to be extraordinary in its own way. Imagining places and times that never shatter and fade but always seem to return, bringing old styles and languages on way to the newer years, other people watching as the slower days bring fate closer. Imagining immortality will bring my realization of the only real and true time.

Unwise Judgment

Those who are easy to judge others should be punished, it does not matter who or what someone is or even it does not matter what they look like, you still have to treat them right, & with respect. Judgment is horrible, & who knows when you might need someone on your side, that can help you out of a tight spot. The person you may need to help you out might have been the one you have judged & sadly you will be the one that suffers in the end.

True Fate part 3

(Continuing off of last post by Alexandra QuiƱones) …………July 20, 2010

The time is different now the weather is warm and calming. Sunlight shining off of the peaceful ocean, Claude and she walk out the door and are in a completely new place, as if magic had touched the door and allowed them to move to a new environment, she gazing up at the light blue sky watching as the clouds glide across the wide sky. Holding her waist he supports her weight, her ankle still healing from the fall in the forest. Each step they take brings them closer to a set of beige beach chairs and a table with a large white umbrella attached to the center, a cloth covers the table and is decorated and held down with a clear oval shaped vase, that holds a beautifully bloomed red rose, on this beach, the ocean brought grains of sand to the shore within this realm. People with their families relaxed and tanned while lying on towels and chairs lining the beach. Children creating sand castles and moats, decorating them with the shells they had found as they were running along the warm sandy beach before…….Finally at the table they sit and are each given glasses of red wine, by a server, from a small little bar at the outdoor restaurant beside them. They slowly sip the divine wine and converse about the beauty of this newly visited realm, he then orders both of them a meal, and they both dine on Ratatouille. The taste of sweet steamed vegetables with different herbs and spices caress their taste buds. After they had finished devouring the most delicious meal they had ever consumed they spoke of their attire, both of their hand on the table holding the napkins that they had used to wipe the corners of their own mouths. Taking his hand in hers she stands and walks over to his side and kisses him lightly on the cheek, blushing a little he stands, her tilts her head to gaze deeply into her dark eyes, her now looking into his, no words are spoken and he brings his lips closer to hers, they kiss just once, she kisses him back and begins to pull him closer. They stop and separate from one another, she remembers this kiss, she remembers those lips, she remembers him, he was hers once many years before this, when they were younger……….........The year they were taken far from one another, years ago when they were in love, the thoughts of how they never wanted to be apart. She gazes down at the necklace around her neck it was all she had of him when the last parted, in was in the shape of a teardrop and it had a small jewel in the center of a small groove on the necklace, she was 16 years old and he was 18, she gave him a wooden hand crafted locket with her picture inside so he would not forget her and he gave her a teardrop necklace so she would not forget him. She was known as the mysterious and innocent girl, while he was known as the dark, mysterious, bad boy, he always treated her with respect and never hated her ever, she loved him and he loved her. It was when they tried to introduce their parents that they were force to never see each other again. Her mother brought her to a place where she could be hypnotized so she would not remember him at all, and he was forced to live in a mansion alone far from her with only a few people to take care of him. She had only one thing that told her that she was with someone, it was the necklace she always wore around her neck, she never remembered where it came from, but she did remember that it was very important to her….............He watched her for a moment and then quickly gazed at the ground, tears rolled down his cheeks, the thought of her disappearing again, he opened the locket around his neck and gazed at her picture it had been all he had to remember her. Slowly turning around, tears in her eyes she sees his face, walking over, taking his hand and drying his tears will her handkerchief. They kissed once more and held each other tightly not wanting to let go of one another. He whispers in a gentle voice “I love you and I don’t want to lose you mi amor”, she replies “I love you too, and I wont let anything ever keep us apart”, the lost memory that had been locked away was now released from imprisonment, and the sun began to set as they traveled back through the door and remained together till the end of all time.

Me?... Me?... ME?!...

By Monayzia Taylor*

This is written in thoughts of my best friend Bryniesha.

As she waited in the car, she takes out her papers and rehearse her lines over and over again. Her words filling the air, "Me?... Me?... ME?!... I’m nothing.” Her palms turned red after minutes of digging her nails into them, her head starts to wound with nervousness, and knees go weak. She knows that a few blocks from now she will enter the parking lot, the parking lot where her life begins. Her father looks through the mirror and tells her to ease up a little, she’ll do fine. She takes heed of his word, takes a deep breath, lay back, and rehearse her lines over and over again. Her words filling the air, “Me?... Me?... ME?! I’m nothing.” The loud door slap of her father getting out of the car, snapped her from her thoughts. A joyful smile fills her face as she meets up with one of her supportive teacher, Mr. Jeremy Kamps, he greets her with a warm smile and a pat on the back as he leads her inside. He notices lack of energy from her, he reminds her of all the times they’ve stayed after school rehearsing lines over and over again, words filling the air, “Me?... Me?... ME?!... I’m nothing.” The time where she stood in front of the whole fourth block writing class, rehearsing lines over and over again, words filling the air, “Me?... Me?... ME?!... I’m nothing.” Suddenly her confidence is on “BOOST MODE!” Entering the door, down the hall waits the judges, asking her what will she be rehearsing today. A Beneatha line from the play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. The judges gives her a head nod, motions her to start. Silents ….. her head is down getting ready to put herself in Beneatha’s shoes, she looks up and there she starts “Me?... Me?... ME?!... I’m nothing.” Silents …. She stops, she messed up, they told her to go to the back room and scream all her nervousness out. She walks on again, she starts and finishes. She walks off stage with her head held high. After that day she never heard back from the judges, her hopes began to decrease. Soon it hit her, because that was her first audition she did pretty good, however it takes rejection to succeed in life. && Yes She? ... She? ... SHE?! ... She's Something = ]

True Fate part 2

(Continuing from the end part of true fate).......... July 19, 2010

The rain suddenly appeared from out of nowhere, the wind swift and strong removing leafs from the trees, the deep roaring of thunder in the distance. Watching the rain fall, each drop of water sliding down the clear window, the sky was bright and the temperature was warm , the brightness quickly changed to shadow, lightening striking, and the storm above wild and uncontrollable. The sky suddenly cleared up the two of them now closer than ever, in this abnormal strange world. Claude comforting her, his fingers moving through her soft smooth hair, her now gazing at his sweet face, they walk hand in hand down the long hall talking and still questioning each other still, and continue on down the grand staircase...........Feeling different troubles fading and moving far from her, new thoughts create trust for a new acquaintance.

Thoughts without difference

By. Alexandra Quinones

Thinking about the times that everyone has the same things, not much is different. You may earn more money than someone else but it does not change much, you are still the same person, with just more to spend, to spend on things like, bills, items you want, and the people you truly care for. We will never change, nothing ever does, except for our emotions.......Right?!

True Fate

By Alexandra Quinones

Trapped unable to feel anything but emptiness within her beating heart, eyes catching a gaze of a sight something and her hair flows with the soft gentle breeze. The sky is dark, the wind is strong, hearing whispers of distant creatures lingers then fades as she walks the pale marked road curious of true fate………… Each breath creates a warm cloud of air, skin beginning to become colder continuing to walk through the shadowed, misty, abyss. Feeling a dark presence following, watching, wondering what is going on she turns around, and tries to spot something anything but nothing appears to be there, she keeps walking now suddenly struck with fear. Heartbeat now increasing breathes deeper…… Thoughts run through her mind, what is following me? Does it intend on harming me? Trembling and watching her every move she gazes up at the full moon hoping that worst is not coming to her. Sounds of the souls warn her trying to scare her so that she does not fall to the same fate as they had; the sound of branches snapping frightens her even more. Running quickly to hide, she trips over a tree root; sitting up beginning to brush off the dirt and leaves she realizes her ankles broken, turning now to see a pale gentleman kneeling beside her............ He reaches out to her, she takes his hand and they both stand facing each other their eyes meet, she glances away, he watches and gently places his hand on her rosy cheek. Now placing her hand over his she looks back into his eyes, the color a dark hazel brown, almost like the color of caramel; his hair curly and straight but shoulder length; the color is hard to make out it looks like a blackish brown color. Trying to walk away she finds herself weak and begins to trip over her own feet, he catches her before she falls, gazing at her beautiful face he long wants to have her embrace, but he helps her walk, now keeping her safe, by bringing her to another place. She awaken in a dark room lit with tiny wall candles, her ankle wrapped and clean, her slippers still on her feet he black gown clean, her hair still silky and long, the environment unknown to her. Sitting up the small quilt that was warming her slides down her body, she looks around the room and notices there is a note on the pillow beside her she reads it, “Thought you might want to be left alone, hope you enjoy the room, it is yours until the time that you intend on leaving”

- Claude

Walking over to the wide closet, she spies a long dress, the color a dark plum purple; the thin straps , with short white sleeves that uncover the shoulders, skirt flowing down to the floor, an upside down V design shows off the white laced over with black slip beneath. Without hesitation she changes into the dress, surprisingly it fits to her slim figure……..Now walking down a dark corridor only lit by wall candelabras she hears the most soothing sound. Following the sound she comes to a door, its open just a crack, she peaks through the door it’s the gentleman that helped her, he plays this instrument with such emotion each stroke over the strings allow a dark flowing sound to travels, creating a calm atmosphere, she steps back, the floor board creaks and his playing stops….He gets up placing his instrument against the wall making sure that it does not fall. Quickly glancing at the door he sees her peaking in, he makes a gesture inviting her in, she enters the room……..Walking toward him with such curiosity she feels a strong aura. Is it coming from him? She wonders, now being drawn to him. His eyes now a light green color, she hugs him, “thank you, for helping me Claude, I probably would not have survived on my own”, her voice is weak and tears roll down her cheeks, he hugs her back and holds her head against his chest. Both of their eyes now closed, minds cleared, and all eternity fades until light become shadows……..A candle is lit the wax slowly melting, the flame brings light to the room, the shadows surround the light, the redness in the flame the dripping of the wax. Walking over to a small sofa they sit together, speaking of their truths, and both gasping at each surprising word from the thought that has changed in their minds. She walks toward the closed window feeling the way she never felt before, the comfort of a stranger in new to her, although conversing with others seems more difficult than it was......
